Re: DBT for Mac

2020-02-12 Thread Julie Rattray
Hi,

I have an index 5 and yes it does have the built in programme but it is not
great in my experience it kept putting D instead of another letter and there
was a very limited ability to format documents etc. It does work and would do
in the short term but if you are in a position to get something like DBT then
for me it is worth it.

Hi!
If you have the luck to use one of the later Index embossers you don’t need any
formatting prograhm.
It has a built-in one from start.
I don’t understand why other embossers do that automatically.

Well, I had Duxbury 11.3 for windows and got 12.4 for windows as a free
upgrade. I don’t know why.

I tried Duxbury on the Mac but didn’t like it at the time. I don’t know what
it is like now on the Mac but because I use to use Duxbury on a daily basis
felt comfortable with it and would recommend it if you were going to do serious
transcribing.

Re: DBT for Mac

2020-02-10 Thread Julie Rattray
Hi,

I use DBT on the Mac with no issues but can’t compare to windows I am afraid as
I never used the windows version. If you use pages for word processing
currently DBT doesn’t seem to import it but saving the file as a word file
works well
