I was finally able to duplicate this on a spreadsheet. I normally just use
arrow navigation to work within Numbers spreadsheets, so, in fact, this problem
does not occur. As Jonathan mentioned, if you are using VO-arrow key to

I believe if you are navigating using the VoiceOver navigation keys you must
use vo-space to select a cell before typing in it.

as my system is pretty new, and everything is up to date. Just an awful
experience working with Numbers that neither I nor Apple accessibility could

Very interesting. I'm not experiencing that sort of thing at all. I just

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is make sure you don’t
have any filters active. If you’re doing any filtering you can’t type in there.
Turn off the filtering and you should be able to.

definitely messed up, as if you want to type in the A rows you need to VO space
bar then type and do not stop interacting to get out of the cell which you do
have to d in the rest of the spread sheet. Very confusing but we
