T-Mobile new customer plans was Re: SlingTV on AppleTV

Yes, the one plan I think it’s called or something like that.  They have very 
aggressive pricing and have been providing a lot of downward price pressure.  I 
have a plan that’s two lines for 100 unlimited usage but unfortunately it’s no 
longer available.  They keep trying to offer me a new plan and I refuse to 
change.  I even tried giving Mary on list the plan name and she had no luck 
either.  The new packages are pretty good though.  Also remember Metro PCS is 
the same network and it looks, from the phone settings anyway, that it’s the 
same level of access to the network.  I can’t tell if there’s differences 
behind the scenes but the packet settings and 4G host name is the same 
fast.t-mobile.net <http://fast.t-mobile.net/> address.

Oh ok, because I know a few guys who worked for the Sling box folks, they were 
in San Francisco or near by and they seemed like good guys.  I rode on the 
train every day with a fellow who worked there so I would have been surprised.  
The fact it’s a part of dish network says a lot.  Charley Urgan (or how ever 
you spell his last name) is a well I can’t use the word let’s just say scumbag 
so it’s list safe and understand I meant the word for a female dog.  He has no 
respect for good business practices so why should he treat accessibility any 
differently.  I probably won’t use the app now either simply because it’s part 
of Dish network.  If T-mobile ever merged with Dish network like has been 
speculated I’d leave T-Mobile as well.  Here’s hoping they don’t because I like 
the way things are done now.  (Even though they abused Ricardo Walker and the 
other jump customers which does give me pause)

you'd do on other devices that require menu scrolling with no speech.

It works for me, I mean if you want to do a little exploring.  I go in to 
the guide app, where all the channels are listed, remember what channels 
i like, for example, USA is 19 of 67, I go there, and can watch the live 
feed. There are other channels, but I wrote them in a note so if I need

It works for me, I mean if you want to do a little exploring.  I go in to 
the guide app, where all the channels are listed, remember what channels i 
like, for example, USA is 19 of 67, I go there, and can watch the live 
feed. There are other channels, but I wrote them in a note so if I need to 
find them I can.

your choice, but since I am a court cutter, I don’t have the option to 
switching on my cable box.  If it weren’t for my daughter working for comcast, 
I would miss out on a lot.  But since she does, I get pretty much everything a 
cable subscriber gets, for half the cost.  I pay 40 bucks a month for sling, 
and nothing for HBO, show time, stars, or the network channel apps like ESPN, 
TLC, discovery, and a few others that all have live channels.

It works for me, I mean if you want to do a little exploring.  I go in to the 
guide app, where all the channels are listed, remember what channels i like, 
for example, USA is 19 of 67, I go there, and can watch the live feed.  There 
are other channels, but I wrote them in a note so if I need to find them I can.

Good freaking luck.  I tried using the app about 3 or 4 months ago.  Totally 
inaccessible both on iOS, and on TVOS.  I called their support, and they 
basically told me, if it didn't work, get someone sighted to do it for me. 
The impression I got was that they really didn't seem to care at all about 
the accessibility side of it.

I have been using slingTV for about 3 months now, and it just started doing 
this to me yesterday.  At first I thought it was because I was using a BT 
keyboard, but now that you say it, I don’t know.  Looks like a email or phone 
call is in order.
