Oh wow thank you. See I never used SSD before so have no idea of performance.

 weekend and as of rite now I have already moved everything I want to keep 
 to my dropbox and  now am waiting for dropbox to finish uploading 
 everything, but will be doing this this weekend.  Will report how it goes. 
  I did managed to make a bootable usb drive so will see what happens.

Chris, sounds like a fine choice.  If the user is upgrading from a 500 GB HD to 
a 512 SSD she’ll be blown away.  That in itself is such a  major upgrade.  
You’re talking 30 to 45 times faster just on disk access alone.  Sounds like 
you did good my man.:)
