So, if I visit this site using Windows, I find the element is a combo
box. In my experience safari does not do combo boxes. I would love for
someone to tell me I am incorrrect and tell me how to do combo boxes
using the Mac. However, if you expand the combo box for the day you
are seeking on this website, the programs for that day show once the
day is expanded.

I’m thinking this is an accessibility issue. I tried it on Safari and Chrome 
and it did not work. I got as far as you did.
