Hi Alex,

When you are in the finder, bring up the contextual menu for the file that you
want to send, choose, share, messages. That is how you can message a file to
someone. :) I checked my downloads folder and I could not find it. However, I
figured out that you have to do an actual double mouse click. It’s a bit hit
and miss though. I think the mouse pointer needs to be in the correct spot.

opening files in messages on Mac

2015-09-30 Thread Christina C.
Hello,

I can’t figure out how to open a RTF filed that was messaged to me on my mac in
the messages/iMessages application. I tried Vo spacebar, routing the mouse to
the file name and performing an actual mouse click. I also tried bringing up
the contextual menu but just get some unrelated options, like clear chat
transcript.

I’d appreciate any help. Thanks so very much.

Christina

I haven't tried this--I never knew you could send files like that via
iMessage--but what about Downloads? Generally, things like that end up in the
Downloads folder by default; have you looked in there? Just a thought.
