Hi,
I can start an application on 770 from xterm just fine - I see
connection coming in with dbus-monitor.
But when I try to start the same application from the task
navigator menu, it is not even executed.
Can someone tell me which process on in the maemo desktop
actually calls exec()?
If
Hi all,
I'd like to know how to use the Nokia 770 in vertical mode.
I found this:
http://syslog.movial.fi/archives/2005/11.html
From what I understand it uses the X11 XRANDR extension but you have to
recompile the kernel/Xserver ?
If yes does anyone know what are the steps to compile the kern

This is working great for me using a think outside/stowaway keyboard. I
did get one reset while trying to re-do the pairing but my nokia is
behaving again. Excellent work!
Now your app is a complete model for the ui for other bluetooth stuff
like bluetooth stereo. (I need to get busy :) Nok

Right. My reference to the "BT keyboard input method" was incorrect,
because this GTK input method does not exist. It appears, from
information on the BT keyboard plugin homepage, that when the plugin is
used, GTK switches to the xim input plugin. It is unclear what causes
this switch to occur b

If I am not mistaken then the Bluetooth Keyboard plugin does not have
much influence on the actual input at all. It just starts the Bluetooth
HID daemon (hidd) which will handle the Bluetooth HID protocol.
The actual keyboard events are generic Linux i

I can add to it stylus availability. I have already lost one of
two styluses and have gone through a round of e-mail with customer
support just to find out that they are not available for purchase -

I seriously doubt that this problem has anything to do with the Hildonized
GTK+, considering that special characters such as the German umlaut work
fine in my VNC viewer port (at least with the virtual keyboard). In
addition, an examination of the xterm implementation will demonstrate that

Hi!
Is Nokia thinking of selling 770 accessories too?
Some friends and me would be very interested in buying additional metal
sleeves for case modding experiments.
Some would like to add a whole to the case so that one can get out the

Hi,
I finally had a success with building ARM targets for hildon-widgetsmm
and its dependencies (hildon-fmmm, gtkmm, glibmm, libsigc++).
If anyone wants them, let me know. I also would like to put them
somewhere for general consumption. Any ideas where?

I noticed this too, but we know it can go lower... the backlight goes
just a bit lower when you're idle and before it turns off altogether.

As for the backlight - the default minimum is too bright at night. Is
this hardware or software limitation? I cannot find API for this and for
volume control in libOSSO. Is it elsewhere?

Hi,
I haven't tried them myself, but these libosso functions seem to be what you're looking for.

HiI'd like to keep the display on when my application is running and no user interaction happens before display shutdown timeout. I know powersaving is preferrable but there are some use cases where this is just needed... In additon it would be nice to know if there's a way to programmatically cont
My 770 crashes too... the second i try to pair it with my apple wireless

If i try connecting without pairing the phone pairing dialog/app shows

Most of the time i get connection failed errors.
Any ideas?
