I also want microphone capture under the N800. On linux I was using the
SDL_audioin.so library or libportaudio.so for this but these appear not work
under N800 too.
I can only think that the N800 uses seperate devices for input and output ?
Has anyone managed to access the microphone input device

I managed to get sound output working now by setting the env variable
SDL_AUDIODRIVER=alsa
This works now with one the SDL project test programs.
