time not synced corectly

on my n900, the time is off by 20+ minutes even though i had set the correct timezone is this a bug? I had seen on the forum that many had to resort to installing openntp and rdate manually. Is this the only way around or is there any backports repo? -- Regards, Umarzuki Mochlis http
