I can hear system sounds from my fingers or stylus tapping to move but
no bomb blasts...

Sound yes, Music no. You have to enable sound in the startup screen.
Is there no sound output on the N800 ?

Looks great! I'd swap the up/down buttons with the power/bomb
buttons, though, so one can use the hardware d-pad with the left and
bomb with the right, if one so chooses.
