KDE 4.8.0 should follow soon after Qt 4.8.0 because from local test done with

ing all kde deps, so when removed it's logical from urpmi to
consider kde deps as orphans.
Installer should install package like kdebase4-workspace, kdebase4-runtime etc
etc so you can't face the same issue by removing task-kde for example.
(Of course it's probably more easy & they might be a reason to use task- in
installer instead of specific package).

nd why slim
is preferred over kdm, but i guess kdm was installed initially simply because
a dm was needed & slim not available on the iso.

WONTFIX is a good solution.

.so)
Of course if you add this you'll should also use kde4_macros for this part of
the spec.
Of course if you want to get ride of kde's dependency you just need to have to
fix the file list.

It should be rejected by rpmlint on upload for unexpanded macro.

Is it useful to keep requires when we have a requires(pre) before ?

I would say nothing since i doubt that ahmad would add a conflicts just for
that.
Also if it was stricly requires (like it is for kde) i guess a urpme laptop-
mode-tools should answer the question.
