[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 795589] Re: Couldn't send email to user

2011-06-17 Thread François Marier
Hi Michael,

Is that the same configuration that you use for Moodle? In particular,
do you use SSL or TLS to connect to your mail server? Is it on port 25?

Cheers,
Francois

2011-06-17 Thread Dirk Meyer
Public bug reported:

When viewed in Fire Fox 4.0 the sidebar appears below everything else on

located in the theme/raw/static/style folder at around lines 1200-1208
from 'min-width:255px' to 'width:255px' fixes this.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 792639] Re: Group admins can't copy a page from the group pages tab like regular members

2011-06-17 Thread Kristina Hoeppner
Hello Hugh,

I think as long as the behavior is the same for admins and group
members, then I'd be happy. Teachers got confused because their students
could see the copy button, but they didn't. Then the behavior is also
different from group type to group type.

We could probably tackle this issue together with
https://wiki.mahara.org/index.php/Developer_Area/Specifications_in_Development/Groups_revamp

Cheers
Kristina

Group admins can't copy a page from the group pages tab like regular
  members

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When a group admin of a controlled group allows the copying of a page
in a group, the group members see a copy button, however the admin of
the group doesn't. He only has the regular copy a page button
available that leads him to search for the page among all copyable
  pages.

The group admin should also see the copy button next to page like
  regular group members.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 796029] Re: New quota limit policy

Hello Iñaki,

Thank you for this suggestion. That sounds good. Hugh: That would be
something for further improvement.

Cheers

Title:
  New quota limit policy

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
  Triaged

Bug description:
Following François' request, I ask my question and give a proposal
  about quota here.

In the master branch you add new quota policy for groups and
institutions. The help text says that the new quota enter here will
affect only new group's member or new institution's member; previous
group/institution's member will see their quota remained the same as
  before.

This is pretty good if the previous quota is higher than the new
policy but what happens if the quota decided by the group ou
  institution admin is higher ?

Normaly Mahara should then update the quota to the higher number.

If it is not the way Mahara behaves it should. If it is already the
case, the help section has to be updated to explain that if previous
quota for already enrolled users will remain the same or upgraded if
the new setting is higher than before.

  Regards,
  -dajan

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 799024] [NEW] Edit content should appear immediately when clicking on edit

2011-06-17 Thread Kristina Hoeppner
Public bug reported:

on master.dev

Recently, the change was made to Put the edit title and description
first in the list so that people don't forget about it (
https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/761834 ). I think this is good
when creating / copying a page via the Create a Page / Copy a Page
buttons. However, when you click on the Edit button next to a page
(the pencil icon), I expect to be taken to the content editing
immediately (doesn't have to be the first tab) because that's what I
want to change most frequently and not the title or description. Having
this extra click in there is not user friendly, I think.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 799028] [NEW] Show the end time until when a page is accessible

2011-06-17 Thread Kristina Hoeppner
Public bug reported:

A user can restrict the access to his page by providing start and end
dates. However, these do not get communicated to the person who is
invited to view the page. I think it would be good if at least the end
date / time appeared so that a user knows until when he has time to look
at this page.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 799033] [NEW] Hide Page / Group descriptions

2011-06-17 Thread Kristina Hoeppner
Public bug reported:

from MyPortfolio:

Is it possible to have all descriptions hidden so that the dashboard
page is shorter? Mouse over or click to see descriptions would allow the
value as and when required.

A couple of scenarios to ponder:

1. Add a hide / show description switcher that toggles between no
description or the description for each group and page.

2. Implement the functionality from the other dashboard items where a
click on the group / page title shows the description and a link takes
you to the actual page. - However, that would mean that the group title
is not clickable immediately and it takes one click longer to get to the
group which would be annoying for the groups and pages that do not have
a description.

3. Display only XX characters of the description and have a more
button which also takes you to the group / page.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 799035] [NEW] Decrease te line height in page and group descriptions on the overview pages

2011-06-17 Thread Kristina Hoeppner
Public bug reported:

on master

I had already reported this problem earlier, I think for the resumé, but
can't find the bug report to continue. On http://URL/group/find.php the
spacing between paragraphs in a description is too large.

In contrast, on http://URL/view/ paragraph breaks are ignored
altogether.

I think it would be good to have a consistent behavior. I would prefer
regular paragraph breaks with a smaller line height.
