issue occurs if PHP 5 is installed - new version of Pear class added here:

calls the new file PEAR5.php if php is installed and certain functions are
being called (like is_tar)
fixed by adding the PEAR5.php file
It turns out we are using the old version of JSCalendar which was
released under the LGPL:
http://www.dynarch.com/projects/calendar/old/
So there's no need to replace it.
However, there are two copies of it in Mahara (one in /js/ which is
missing its source code and one in Pieforms). I'll
