Title:
Some groups show up twice in the group listing when searching for
  groups

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  on Mahara 1.4alpha / master.dev

When I search for a group in Find Groups, some groups show up twice
in the list. The URL and description are the same. However, the user
count can be a different one, e.g. https://skitch.com/anitsirk/rpsn1
/find-groups-myportfolio-schools (Richard, Francois, Sean: That's on
  MyPortfolio) and the attached screenshot.

This behavior is confusing because one thinks that the group exists
  twice.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 707860] Re: List group members alphabetically

2011-02-16 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Yes, but I think that after a search you would also be able to reform a
sorting with a different parameter. My complement to your idea was not
to add a new button but to place the sorting menu AFTER the search
button. So the two actions are clearly separated but can work altogether
as well. Changing the selected item will trigger a new sorting action of
everything what is already displayed.

Title:
  List group members alphabetically

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
  In Progress

Bug description:
Currently, as Richard told me, group members are listed according to
their group joining date on the membership page of a group with the
admin leading, of course, as she was the first to create the group.

I think it would be good to have an alphabetical listing of group
members (admin can stay as the first if that is important) to make it
easier to find group members esp. in larger groups. The listing should
be according to their last name and then their first name.

If it is important to know the order that members joined a group, we
could have a setting above that allows for alphabetical and
  chronological listing.

  Update default site page content

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:

Bug description:
The default content for the home, about, terms conditions and
privacy pages is old stale. Richard Wyles has provided some new
  text in the attached file.

Because the default content needs to be edited by the site admin, we
should also turn off the about privacy footer links by default in
new installs. (Terms conditions is already disabled by default).

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 720421] Re: js/mochikit directory crashes TortoiseSVN

2011-02-16 Thread François Marier
Thanks for reporting this 5-year old outdated repository.

The Mahara project uses git, not svn. You can get the latest copy of the
code here:

  http://gitorious.org/mahara/mahara

Alternatively, there is also a read-only bzr mirror here:

  https://code.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/mahara/master

I'll try to get that old SVN repository deleted since other people might
get confused.

  js/mochikit directory crashes TortoiseSVN

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
  In Progress

Bug description:
When checking out Mahara with TortoiseSVN it crashes fatally when it
encounters the js/mochikit directory (after processing the
js/MoochiKit). This is really an issue with Windows being non-case-
sensitive wrt to filenames whereas TortoiseSVN is. However as the
js/mochikit directory is empty, can it simply be removed?

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 692784] Re: Reporting objectionable content link should ask for confirmation

2011-02-16 Thread Sean Brennan
I have added a popup confirm dialogue before the submission of this. It was a
small modification of the javascript used to create the form.
Should I try to avoid javascript at all costs instead and for future
modifications?
for example, should I convert this popup into a yes no form like on other
parts of mahara?

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 692784] Re: Reporting objectionable content link should ask for confirmation

2011-02-16 Thread François Marier
It would be better to be consistent with other similar areas in Mahara.

Also, we're hoping that someday Mahara will gracefully degrade but still
be usable when Javascript is turned off. So if you can easily do
something without Javascript, that's probably a good idea.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 692784] Re: Reporting objectionable content link should ask for confirmation

2011-02-16 Thread Sean Brennan
the simple fix for this is here
http://www.gitorious.org/~ioniser/mahara/ionisers-mahara/commits/lp692784-objectional-content-link-should-confirm

I will also start an experimental branch to try out replacing all
confirm forms with one customisable one. This will include a richer
jquery confirm dialogue if javascript is turned on, and a pieform
confirm/error/warning template page if off.
