Core authentication plugins (e.g. XMLRPC, SAML and LDAP) have a
significant amount of duplicated code which could lead to certain checks
not being performed correctly.
We should look at refactoring some of it to make these plugins more
robust and easier to maintain. It will a
One thing to note is that we can't just fix the above code because then
there would be no way for an admin to "unexpire" an inactive user.
We need to fix that UI omission as well.

I am going to replace a depricated table renderer with a better approach

I think it's worse than that...the pager does not work properly for 11
or more Journals.
I cannot access the 11th journal - the links to page 2 & end don't work.
I was forced to delete a journal on the first page to get access to a
journal that had been pushed to page 2.
