I think it is logical that if a user has only one journal, the title of
his journal should be altered when he change his name.

Yes, but what if the user has changed the title from Paula Paulsen's
Journal to Learning reflections? Will it be changed to Paula
Petterson's Journal when she changes her display name / last name if
she doesn't have a display name?

When a new user registers for an institution that requires approval, the
institutional admin should be able to assign staff permissions during
the approval process, based on the user's (confirmed) email address.
This saves an inconvenient additional step of waiting until the

It's possible we could check the title for the presence of the old name,
and simply swap the old name for the new name if it's there.
However, I wouldn't suggest doing this without some form of consent from
the user.

Yes I am sure that all this is possible on the technical side and just
wanted to know if the title change to something entirely else was taken
into account.
I am not so sure about necessary consent though (if the journal title
has not changed!) as I would also assume that my name is
Mahara shouldn't silently change user data without consent. Personally I don't
think we should try to automatically change journal titles.
- We don't have any way of distinguishing a journal title that's never been
edited from one that's been edited and then changed back.
