  Isolated institutions

Status in Mahara:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
I think a very useful feature to have 'closed' or 'controlled' institutions,
whereby the members of one instutution can't see or communicate with members
not in their insitution. This feature would be useful for safeguarding, for
example a college may not want adult college members to be able to communicate
(and potentially 'groom') 14-18 year olds. The 14-18 could be put into a
separate institution to the adult college members, but teachers could be in
both, so could see both sets of learners, but the two sets of learners couldn't
'see' each other.
May also be useful to prevent confusion in large installs with many
institutions...

Title:
Allow manipulation of SmartEvidence framework via admin interface

Status in Mahara:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
Currently (in 16.10) we can upload a .matrix file containing a Smart
  Evidence framework

But once it is uploaded we are unable to alter it via the web
  interface (only through the database).

What would be good is an admin interface that at least allowed for the
editing of the field names and the re-ordering of evidence elements as
  well as adding new elements

A thing to take into account is should one be allowed to edit a Smart
Evidence framework once it is already being used and if so what things
are ok to edit at that point and what things can be edited before it
  is in use.

I'm thinking order and field values can be edited before it is in use.

Once someone is using it then the order / fields for current framework
should be set - but maybe possible to add new standard elements to
  framework.

Also it would be good to have a 'copy framework' option to be able to
  duplicate a framework

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1822695] Re: Group Invite button overlaps pending friend request on Profile page

2019-04-01 Thread Lisa Seeto
In the .pendingfriendscard class in _btn.scss, I commented out the line
521: margin-bottom: -50px. This will need to be examined further in the
Release Candidate as the initial value was added there in order to
manage the header size.

  "Collections" email notification?

Status in Mahara:

Bug description:
Email notifications should be more descriptive. When a collection is
shared, the notification email should say "a collection has been
shared with you" (rather than just listing the first Page in the
  collection).

Our students often share pages with their faculty mentors. We are
trying to get students to use collections more, because they are often
sharing 3-4 related pages with their mentor at a time.

The faculty mentors are confused about whether or not each student is
sharing individual pages with them, or a collection, because the
notification emails do not differentiate between the two. When a
students shares a collection, the faculty's notification email only
lists the first page in the collection.

Title:
Site admin should be able to set up groups in any institution

Status in Mahara:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
Groups need to be associated with an institution. When a site
administrator creates a group, they can only create it in the
institution to which they belong. However, they may want to create a
group in another institution. They would need to join that institution
  first.

Site administrators should be able to create a group in any
institution through the manual group creation interface. They can also
ready do so in bulk via CSV, but it would be good to allow them the
  capability also through the front-end.

Title:
Allow manipulation of SmartEvidence framework via admin interface

Status in Mahara:
  In Progress

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1821631] Re: Error string ID on the FR language pack

Hello,

I am using the version 18.10 for the French language pack.

Title:
Error string ID on the FR language pack

Status in Mahara:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
For the language pack inside the file group.php, there's a string
called $string['hiddengroupdescription1'] in the English version. In
the French version, that string is instead called
$string['hiddengroupdescription2'] . Therefore, it shows the English
  text inside the French version.

Can you rename somehow? I tried to download the PO, edit the file by renaming
that string and it still showed the
$string['hiddengroupdescription2'] while the edited string is ignored (#~) at
the start of the line.
