new machine running RH 8.0, so I sent it to my test list
there... which promptly kicked it back to me with a "Content filtered
message notification."
Thus, no real problem, I believe, but I offer this because it's slightly
worrisome to see anything with "/root" showing up
put the spaces back
in, but the message comes ot of the list server with them gone again.
If it's not a known bug, I'll look into it some more and submit a bug
report.

The startup script appears to be in the right place
(/etc/init.d/mailman).
Mailman starts manually and runs just fine -- I just have to remember to
start it after booting or letting Linuxconf do its thing. And
unfortunately, I forget, since those are rare events.
