Postfix is used on that machine and it has two alias files:
alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases, hash:/etc/mailman/aliases
so it's matching in /etc/aliases first.
Why that's in /etc/aliase I'm not sure. Have to track that down.

How would I change one setting an all lists? For example, change a
bounce processing setting on every list to be the same setting.

Ah hell, ignore that last post. I remember it being confusing, but looking
at my notes I see that I did set the guid to match what my web server is
running as. And Jim's issue is different, I think.

it sends mail to the new list admin, and if done first, the list isn't
really setup yet.
