If you are willing to experiment, I've made a patch available
that adds this capability. You can specify '@listb' in the
'accept_these_nonmembers' field of lista to allow members of
listb to post to lista. (A leading '@' is taken to introduce
a second list's name. Avoid making lista depend on listb and
at the same time listb depend on lista.)

This has been very lightly tested on a low volume server over
the past couple of days, but it hasn't broken in an obvious way
yet. You are welcome to try it and report problems (or
successes).

Hope anyone can help me... If this is not possible yet in Mailman 2.1 I think this
would be a very cool feature...

Essentially the same question was asked a few days ago (see
http://mail.python.org/pipermail/mailman-users/2004-September/039480.html).

The lack of response to that post tells me that my gut feeling that
this is not possible (at least not without hacking the Python code) is
correct.

Not per se, no. You can put them on the whitelist, but you can't
point one whitelist of one list at a whitelist or subscriber list for
another list.

If this is a feature you'd like to add, please note that Mailman
is an Open Source project, and your patches/code would be welcomed.
Please use the SourceForge interface for uploading patches, filing
