Hi, Glenn, I may be wrong, since I’m only an average user, but I don’t have that problem, in my case MailMate is consistent in autocompleting addresses from Apple Contacts. I went to MailMate Settings and found that, under the Composer tab, you can choose different Auto-Completion Sources,

Yes, I know and use SpamSieve, and agree it's excellent. It was just the word 'Blacklist' which seems an odd choice of word. A Blacklist, to me, is a list of addresses which are automatically killed, or junked, or refused, or something - not a list of addresses which are excluded from autocomp
