I suspect you can hardcode the account to use port 993.
Yup, File->Edit IMAP Account lets you specify the port, I’ll give that
a try.

Every once in a while MailMate gets confused about one of my accounts
and throws the attached error:

I keep getting the tip that I only need the space bar to read the next
message, but that doesn’t work, and to read the last message in a
thread I have to manually expand the thread and select the message to
read with the Return/Enter key.
