I haven’t deleted them.

There is 3 but I get warned about 2.

The youngest one was done if I recall right while I was traveling (flights,
opening/closing laptop, etc.). Only special thing I can think of there.

Let me know what you would like to get from them ?

I'm not Benny, but I think I know the reason...

If you use the "Embed" functionality of the MailMate composer and reply
to a HTML message, MailMate starts the reply message with a pristine
full copy of the original message's HTML. If you do any editing that
requires modification of that object or simply a fresh rendering of the
HTML that MailMate generates itself, the embedded message can get
redrawn differently than it was when initially starting the composition.
I'm unsure *WHY* that redrawing results in the appearance changing, nut
I have watched it happen.

Yes.

Or is the hierarchy only for organizational purposes? For my use, I
would like to use the rule hierarchy for organizational use and not
have the rule hierarchy affect rule triggering.

In that case, you can just use a rule with no conditions. It also needs
no actions in which case it's just used for grouping. (If it works as
intended. I'm not sure I've tested completely empty rules in this case.)

Hi!

In reply to Benny Kjær Nielsen (2018-04-18, 17:03):

But I have now. The rules editor was very primitive and this was never
intentional. The latest test release adds the following:

* New: Rules can be reordered. Hold down ⌥ to copy.
* New: Rules can be dragged to other rule lists. Hold down ⌥ to
copy.

This is great! Have been wanting to do this for a long time :)

* New: Rules can be hierarchical (use drag’n’drop to make subrules
or use the new actions menu).

2018-04-25 Thread Verdon Vaillancourt
Ultimately, the problem is the non-standard behaviour of Outlook. I hate
getting mail from something like that, finding it nearly impossible to
read and track long conversations.

…anyways… I don’t know about a global solution, but you could
select the indented reply text and use the key-command “cmd-opt-‘“

(command-option-hyphen) to remove the quoting.

and 2 others from back in 2017 which is a long time ago :)

Where were these 3 emails located?

This also tells us that it's likely to be an old bug.

None of them shows up in outbox.

That mailbox shows email with the virtual `#relay` header. I guess this
means that these emails do not have this header while they do have a
`#relay-date` header. I could catch this case before showing the
send-now window on exit, but it would be much better if we could figure
out the order of events triggering the emails to get into this state.

I assume you have deleted these emails. Let me know if it happens again.

(There's a small chance that I recently fixed a bug which I *think*
could trigger this behavior, but I'm not 100% sure about that.)

Likely a bug triggered this. And yes, I'll soon be looking into
rewriting the code handling column states (hopefully making it better).

Any ideas on why I can’t remove the To column from the Inbox in the
Mailbox area?

You cannot remove a column which is the so-called outline-column (the
one used for the triangles in threading-mode). You need to first
re-assign the outline column (using the same menu).
