Re: [MlMt] Message too large
On 2023-02-11 at 23:14:55 UTC-0500 (Sat, 11 Feb 2023 22:14:55 -0600) Joseph P. Hillenburg is rumored to have said: They are on different servers and have different attributes. That is not the question - it is how to resolve without losing the email in question. MailMate should never lose messages due to errors in processing. The corner cases should cause duplicates rather than annihilating messages. It should be entirely safe to stop the process for all messages so that you can find which messages are too large for the target server and exclude them from the mass move. Obviously, if those are messages you need to keep and you're evacuating an old system for a new one, you will need to save them somewhere other than on the new mail system, e.g. export it to a file outside of MailMate. -- Bill Cole b...@scconsult.com or billc...@apache.org (AKA @grumpybozo and many *@billmail.scconsult.com addresses) Not Currently Available For Hire ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
Re: [MlMt] Where are Smart Mailbox settings stored?
Randy, Here are my notes gathered from MM’s Help or User Manual regarding Settings files. To copy your settings to another computer (or replace missing files), you need these files (depending on version, reverting to what you have customized): * /Users//Library/Application Support/MailMate/*.plist (Identities, Mailboxes, Sources, Submission) * /Users//Library/Application Support/MailMate/Resources/ <- not there in 5870+ * /Users//Library/Application Support/MailMate/Managed/Bundles/ <- not in 5878+ * /Users//Library/Application Support/MailMate/Managed/LocalIndex.plist * /Users//Library/Preferences/com.freron.MailMate.plist Note that the last file also contains most of what you have changed in MailMate preferences or have changed using the defaults command. You can only copy this file before launching MailMate on the destination machine. Otherwise, you might have problems with the file being overwritten by an older version cached by the system. You can substitute *~/Library/* for the leading relative path in the above, if logged into your user account in Terminal. I do not have the info on which specific files contain the data you’re looking for (conditions), but pretty sure one of these does. Some were consolidated in later versions of software as noted. YMMV depending on which version you run. Don’t forget to quit M-M before making changes. Backing up the current and changed versions is a good idea before restarting the app. Good luck!
