Is there no way to ask for or demand escalation? Or by "not resolved"
do you mean "as we wished/needed" instead of them still being open?

Thank you Ken. Is 100/day everyone else's experience too?
I'm shocked that it's this low, but my sense of scale must be warped by
personal experience.

Hi Michael,

I apologize in advance for beating this dead horse, but we tried going this
route - we went through paid support in our Office/Microsoft365 account
(Business Premium) and these tickets have not been resolved. Is there any way
you could attract some eyeballs to ticket #19907517 ?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi everyone,

Has anyone had any success in getting false positives removed from ATP? There
isn't any public delisting endpoint available, and emails to various Microsoft
email addresses, as well as open support cases, have not been met with much
success.

The support case is #19907517, for any interested Microsoft folks who might be
on here.

Hi Melinda, the email in question is Len Shneyder

You know Len of course.

He REALLY needs to get on here.

I didn't realize that Len was now in the sendgrid picture. I think I
missed an acquisition somewhere...

Len is a great guy, known him for at least a decade. I just had a 1 1/4
hour video chat with him on all this stuff.

Sendgrid has been fighting and closing 2 or 3 distinct and separate
attack methodologies. They have plugged everything they know about.
There are some remaining bits of it which may take a little while to
eradicate, but they're working hard on it.

Len and I went through a number of high volume bits of spam I'd received
- pillz/porn and 419 in this batch. All but one had already been
actioned, and the last was zapped during the call.

Len and I left the call with an agreement that I'd wait a few days
before digging back in, to give the last bits of what they've done to
take effect.

Len also said that they're have several very new people in their abuse
group who are not up to speed, and one experienced one who is going on
mat leave imminently, so they're stretched.

In urgent/serious situations where the abuse@ contact does not seem to
be working, he wanted me to encourage people to contact him directly (at
the email given above). Please try to not flood him with too much -
keep it to the worst.

Re: [mailop] mailop Digest, Vol 151, Issue 28

2020-05-13 Thread Chris Malton (DVTL) via mailop

Hi Emre,

This is likely not to be caused immediately by Microsoft.

In the case of the message below, Microsoft accepted the mail, attempted
to then relay it to the organisation's (perhaps on premises) Exchange
box, and was unable to do so.

After a timeout, the message was bounced.

Not all Office 365 customers use Office 365's Outlook/Exchange
services.  There are some I support who are still midway between
on-premises and Exchange Online, with some mailboxes on their local
Exchange server in the office and others on Exchange Online.  Having
that split configuration means that it is possible for the below to
happen without it being Microsoft's issue.  They are simply reporting a
problem with the configuration of the target organisation's Office 365.

Regards,

Chris Malton

Hi Michael,

do you know if this somehow has an impact on junk filtering? We
are also seeing these error, and we have customers who suddenly
for no apparent reason goes straight to junk. On day the mail goes
to the inbox, the next day (literally)  the exact same mail goes
to junk. SCL:0, and the IP is (still) green in SNDS. SPF, DKIM and
DMARC are fine. One of the test mails had:

Received-SPF: TempError (protection.outlook.com
: error in processing during
lookup of X.X.com : DNS Timeout)

But others (same body, sender, From & IP) also ends up in the junk
folder even though the SPF lookup succeeds.

I know you can't investigate this particular issue, just wondering
if there might be a connection to the insufficient resources-problem.

Thanks in advance,

/ Jesper
