Thank you Ken. Is 100/day everyone else's experience too?
I'm shocked that it's this low, but my sense of scale must be warped by
personal experience.

You need to send at least 100/day.

What order of magnitude are they in practice requiring to qualify for
"large volume"? 100 / day? 1000, 1?
