Job Title: IT - Netapp Storage Admin

Administration experience in Netapp Storage, Cisco UCS Flexpod, Windows,
DATA Networking.
This role sits within the Application Engineering Team responsible for a
number of service lines including but not limited to Software Build &
Continuous Integration, Deployment frameworks & Configuration Management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for consultancy engineering
tasks in relation to the various service lines offered and supported by the
team.

This position will lead migration of workloads (applications) into our
Cloud Services Line via AWS or Azure. Additional accountabilities will be
to move new application into our OpenShift Platform with a focus on micro
services/Docker as well as reduce complexity through tools alignment and
standardisation.

This role is an influential technical position and requires a pro-active
approach. The ability to bring together the technical viewpoints of various
parties to arrive at an agreed architecture is paramount. Equally the
determination to ensure mandated frameworks, tools and methodologies are
implemented and followed.

Key Accountabilities:
Specific tasks / activities, management, reporting, interfaces etc. Ideally

• Interact with architect, design, and development teams to ensure
operational standards and guidelines are considered and adhered to as
applications are transitioned into the cloud.
• Implementation and management of Artifactory for Binary Management (Build
Integration, Promotion model, Deployment repository), standardising both
build dependencies, and IST deployables as part of the Definitive Medial
Library.
• Self Service deployment mechanism specialist experience in both on
premise and cloud infrastructures.
• Strategic vision for Continuous Delivery via automation and Self-Service
tooling.
• Be a valued advisor to the Management Team on all continuous integration
and engineering technical matters, including all issues that have been
escalated as a result of technical standards non-compliance.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:
Specific demonstrable experience/ skills/ behaviours/ qualifications
(vocational, Degree/Masters/Doctorate, professional) expected for the role.

• Practical and theoretical knowledge of Continuous Integration and
Automation Systems and frameworks
• Experience with Linux/UNIX systems and the best practices for deploying
applications to those stacks
• OpenShift / Docker Knowledge

• Advanced knowledge of using Source Code to manage complex Software
Projects
• Artifactory Expert (Command Line)
• A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g.
TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks)
• Active Directory & LDAP Fundamentals
• Practical Knowledge of Perl, HTML, Clustering, Oracle, MSSQL, hardware
administration
• Practical knowledge about APIs. You can design RESTful services and
integrate with other data providers, and you know when to use JSON or XML.

Other Essential Skills and Knowledge:
• Strong ‘hands-on’ experience of designing, deploying and managing complex
technical environments (high availability, multiple server, multiple
application, saleable tiered architectures)
• Advanced understanding of Software Delivery Lifecycle
• Technical Procedure Authoring

Desirable Criteria:
Optional – additional criteria that are “nice to haves” and could enhance
performance of the role
• Experience of delivering into trading software development projects
