Thanks! Packages have been tagged for release, and should get picked up
by the CentOS team for signing and pushing to the mirrors.

This release is made off v3.10.5

Packages for the CentOS Storage SIG are available for testing. Please
let me know when someone tried them (even minor checks are sufficient)
so that I can mark them for releasing to the CentOS mirrors.

   # yum install centos-release-gluster310
   # yum --enablerepo=centos-gluster310-test install \
   glusterfs-server-3.10.5-1.el7

Done!
- packages are fine and install ok (fuse-client and server)
- Basic volume creation, mount and a few operations are succesful

We can release this into the mirrors.

I never received any feedback for the 3.10.4 packages, and have now
tagged them for release (fingers crossed!). Once the CentOS team does a
new sync run, the 3.10.4 packages will be available on the mirrors.

When I have time, I would run some tests. It is not a given that I (can)
make time for it, and surely do not want the sole responsibility for it.

As long as nobody else tests, the packages may stay in the testing
repository indefinitely. It would be good to have a perseon (per major
release?) that is heading the testing efforts. Fedora has it automated
in their update process (Bodhi w/ karma), there is no such thing for
CentOS SIGs. I do not know how it works for other distributions.

Building is one thing that is relatively simple. But that does not prove
that the packages are actually functional, or that the required
dependencies (might have changed) are available in the repositories.

It is possible to automate test runs when the builds land in the testing
repository. If we can decide on what tests should run, and pass, and who
will maintain them, that would be a big help.

@Neils is there any testing of the package done by you? I am asking as
(like last time) there is no real owner for package testing other than
the package maintainers. As a result I do not expect anyone in the
maintainers list to respond, unless we make this an activity for someone

At present package maintainers seem to be the right people to state if
the packages are built fine, but if that is not possible then we need to
discuss this in the upcoming maintainers meeting and take an action.

Gluster Community Packages for:

* Fedora 25 & 26 are available in the Fedora Updates-Testing repos. After a
nominal testing period they will move to the Fedora Updates repos. Use `dnf` to
install.

* Fedora 27 (rawhide) are available at [1].

* Debian jessie/8, stretch/9, and buster/10 are available at [1].

* Ubuntu trusty/14.04, xenial/16.04, zesty/16.10, and artful/17.04 are in
Launchpad at [2].

* SuSE SLES12, Leap42.2, and Leap42.3 OpenSuSE Build Service at [3].

* RHEL and CentOS in CentOS Storage SIG staging area at [4]. After someone
tests them and let's Niels know they will move to the mirror (at [5]) where you
can install using `yum` after installing the Storage SIG package.

*** Reminder ***: Since GlusterFS 3.9 the Fedora RPM and Debian .deb public
signing key is, e.g. for 3.9, at
https://download.gluster.org/pub/gluster/glusterfs/3.9/rsa.pub. If you have an
old /etc/yum.repos.d/glusterfs-fedora.repo file with a link to
https://download.gluster.org/pub/gluster/glusterfs/LATEST/rsa.pub then you need
to fix your .repo file to point to the correct location. This is a safety
feature to help prevent unintended updates, e.g., from 3.10 to 3.11.

Packages for the CentOS Storage SIG are available for testing. Please
let me know when someone tried them (even minor checks are sufficient)
so that I can mark them for releasing to the CentOS mirrors.

  # yum install centos-release-gluster310

I never received any feedback for the 3.10.4 packages, and have now
