Hmm. :) You could do a lot without ripping and replacing MapServer by introducing OpenLayers and something like TileCache into your environment. You may want to look at Fusion or MapFish (both of which encapsulate OpenLayers) for a development framework. The nice thing about Fusion is that it's

I have noticed a change in the API, where some classes are now inherited from MgGuardDisposable. I'm not entirely sure what side effects this may have, but I'm guessing that it will fail to de-serialize classes, giving an error like 'Invalid Stream'. Apart from that, you obviously have to know w
