example 2 in that article). I understand that *.map and *.id files

Bikram,
I think you are not missing anything because
you will probably get a similar error message
when trying to manually connect to the ODBC database.

Can somebody tell me why MAPBASIC has decided to compile my program
into an MBO file instead of an MBX - it is only 40k so shouldn't
exceed the file size stuff.
Also does anybody know how I can get round this crap and get it

MapBasic assumes this if you are calling a function or sub from your code,
which doesn't exist in your code. (make sense??) i.e. it assumes it is in

Hi Mark,
I am not sure if this is the case with Ingress, but in the case of Oracle
or SQL Server, MapInfo will return 126 if the client (for the relevant DB)
is not installed.
In the case of Oracle you need to have SQLNet installed as well as the ODBC
driver.
And I cannot remember what the SQL

I believe what you are looking for is the "group by" column. If you "group
by" school, then the count of 0s and 1s will be grouped by school.

Aw, you folks are such pessimists! If you were using any number

I haven't heard this one before, but I've experienced it about five times
now: I have one census data map open and start up Crystal Reports. The
hard disk whirrs and clatters then the computer crashes to the "It is safe
to turn off your computer" screen (or whatever the actual phrase is).
