Thanks to Dion Duran, Bill Wemple and any others who pursued my problem of

As Bill pointed out it is necessary to use a command string to get this

MB / MI gurus,

Hi,
I need to check the polygon attributes for a large number of objects and doing this
manually for each individual object is time consuming. I was wondering if was
possible to run a query or something that would extract this to a table.
Any hints or help would be much appreciated.

Hi all,
First off, sorry to all those who downloaded the evaluation version of MAADmaps only
to find it wouldn't run. The offending problem was a date field, but this has sinced
been fixed in the updated version.
Due to the response I received, MAADmaps has now been updated and now contains a

There is two tool
that we use to create/combine true type fonts.
1. Fontographer by Macromedia
2. CorelDraw V9
Note that the font that you create must be of type
"symbol" otherwise MapInfo ignores them. This is why you don't see all your
loaded fonts when you open the symbol
Andy,
Thanks for the reply. Hopefully this will clarify what I am after.
When double clicking on a region object it brings up a list of attributes such as
area. One of these is the number of polygons that make up the object in question.
Is it possible to do a query in mapinfo on all the

Hello to you,
I was answering the request of Sebastian Hudson about polygons
attribute when I found out something I can't explain to myself. What is the
difference between querying the MinX of an object and querying the MinX of
the MBR's object. To me, it was the same thing, but I obtain
Hello Sebastian:
There is a way of using the MapBasic commands like ObjectInfo, which has
such an argument, objectinfo(obj,OBJ_INFO_NPOLYGONS) to return the number of
polys for a region. Use an update column statement with ObjectInfo(obj,21)
for a column, let's call it nPolys:
nPolys =
Seb,
Here's the syntax for your query:
Select ObjectInfo(obj, 21) From MyTable
(21 is the MapBasic constant OBJ_INFO_NPOLYGONS which returns the number of polygons
in a region object(
Hope this helps,
Gary.

Does anyone know if its possible to call user defined functions in the "Label

You can use Mapinfo's own functions without any problem, but I'd like to be able
to call on functions that are located in a currently running Mapbasic program.
Any help
I am using the code

With this in a loop I am using a central point and drawing lines to other
points; like bicycle wheel.
I use the selection tool to select one line, but

The discrepancy is introduced by the projection that is used. If you set the
coordsys to a non-projected longitude/latitude the results show no such
differences. This will happen if you open your map and run the select; the
MI will then use the default non-projected system. If your table is in a

How do users get around doing a full join on two tables in MI Professional's
SQLSelect?
Example: I want selection to include a full join on table1.ID1 and

The way SQLSelect works it must be an inner, left, or right join, but no
