As you may be aware the data from the USGS's 1:24,000 scale maps is available for free in a vector format on the USGS website for the whole of the US. Unfortunately it is now only available in STDS format. There are a number of public domain translators available on the web page but I have been unsuccessful in getting any of these to work.
