Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a method by which lines could have
their directions reversed? Help on this one would be much
appreciated.

Hello list,
Is anyone aware of individuals or, groups in the Madison - Milwaukee, WI areas

Hi!
I was wondering if MapExtreme Java can support projections that results
from the Rotate MapWindow tools in MI. In my workspace (.wor), this
tools transform the projection like:

Hello All,
does anyone know where I can get hold of satellite

don't really want to spend any money if I can help it.

Dan,
Great tip. I wasn't aware that the drivers are free. However, unless
I'm missing something, I only have the ability to print to a
PostScript file. Once I have that, I need to take it into Distiller
to produce the PDF - I can't do it directly unless I were to install

Ok all.
I have a number of point symbols that have Attributes. The points are located close

Is there a way of dispersing the labels from each point without

The other issue is about fonts. In the mapper window the font

Hey Everybody,
I'm sure this has been discussed in the past, but does anyone know of a good
drive time program (creating drive time polygons)?
- Years ago, I used the On Target Mapping engine, but it seems to be
history now.
- Last year, I saw Routeview's software, but it seems to be a MapInf

Hello,
I just started using this utility, but noticed a discrepancy between
the symbol plotter and MI interpretation of north.
It appears that MI honours the true north and measures angles counter
clockwise. The symbol plotter appears the true north as 90
° and
measures the angle clockwise.
Is there a way to automatically draw a boundry line around a given set
of objects. Say I have 10 cities in a zone, and I want to draw the zone
boundry around them. Can I do this with a command or function, or do I
have to draw it manually. Thanks.

Does anyone know how I might zoom to show all cosmetic objects with
MapBasic?
These methods do not work:
1. Set Map Zoom Entire Layer 0 (zooms out to show everything, cosmetic or
not)
2. Set Map Zoom Entire Layer Cosmetic1 (invalid view layer)
3. Select the cosmetic objects, Add Map Laye

Assuming your cities are regions and not points, select the cities in the
zone, make the cosmetic (or other) layer editable, then buffer the selection
with a width of zero, one buffer for all objects.

I would like to know if MapInfo can somehow handle
a Vertical near side perspective
projection.
In the past I've used ArcInfo to reproject the data
and import it back in MapInfo using a "non-earth" setting. It worked OK,
however this time around I would like to know if I can bypass this st
Hi all!
In one of our offices, we use a HP 1055CM (2gig) with MapInfo. When the
layout gets large (110 inches at normal quality in HPGL2; 55 inches in
normal mode in PS3) , the white background that stands for the sheet of
paper suddenly disappears.
We downloaded the latest drivers from HP, bu
Keith,
Sorry I guess you also need Abobe PDF writer program, I thought that was also
free to download, I'm I wrong?
Sorry if my answer missguided you in anyway.

Tim,
Assuming that your front window is defined, try these 3 short lines
Set Map Layer 0 Editable On
run menu command 303'select all (it will automatically point to the
'cosmetic layer if it has been set editable)

Hello,
If you get ghostscript and gsview (it's free, you will need
both) from: http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/ you
will be able to print .PS or .EPS files (also reads .PRN) to a .PDF
file. If you do not have the Acrobat Reader, you can view your PDF's with
gsview. Help is well documented.
RouteView for MapInfo is available. The main feature of RouteView is that it
can be used any street map such as StreetInfo or StreetPro and constructs a
connected graph of streets for routing and drive-time polygons. Price is
$1,200.
Another solution is Freeway from AGS which does not need any st
