Try the following web site which has stereonet software which interacts
well with mapinfo

 Paul,
Discover (an add-on program to MapInfo) includes a stereonet plotting =
program. It is pretty much for plotting purposes only, so you can't use =
it to calculate things like apparent dips or rotate planes back to =
horizontal etc. It also doesn't contour the output.
Anyone else out there know of stereonet plotting programs in MI?

MI-L Cutting tools lead to unsnapped intersections. Why?

2001-03-29 Thread Steve King

Hi There
I use cutting tools that come with both Geobasemap and Discover
geological add ons to slice up line work to create geological maps using
a lines layer and a fills layer. If I select a number of lines to
intersect so I can use them to create a region in the fills layer I
often find that the resulting intersecting lines are not snapped and I
have to manually snap them. I have also found that if I use only 2
lines I will generally get an error but if I choose 20 lines I will only
get 2 or 3 errors generally associated with only one of the lines. Has
anybody experienced this problem? Is there a tool I can run that will
automatically snap line ends which are extremely close together?

Cheers
