MI Printing 24 bit raster imagery

I know this problem has been touched on before but I wonder has anyone found any workarounds or solutions It appears Mapinfo still dithers 24 bit imagery to 8 bit when it sends it to a postscript printer. I thought 5.5 was supposed to fix the 24 bit raster problems. This is a major problem as

MI Custom Symbol Printing problem

Hi We are using custom symbols to symbolise traffic signs and are having a great deal of problems trying to print them. A print file ( to either a HP755cm oor HP Deskjet 1120c at A4) of about 30 polygons and some text without the custom symbol is 123kb A exact same file with 1 custom symbol
