I have been happily using ODBC links to MSDE and SQL databases for a while now.

Today we added a new column to my mapable tables 'rowguid'. This is an
automatically generated data type consisting of a unique binary string made up
from the CPU ID, the network card ID, and the date time stamp. It will be used
to manage SQL DB replication update conflicts and has nothing to do with
mapinfo.

Now when I try and open these tables I get an 'unsupported data type: rowguid'
message. I have been careful NOT to select this column in the hope that
mapinfo would just ignore it, and I have even checked the SQL select statement
by pressing the 'Expert' button and it does not refer to this column.

What should I do??

Regards,

Adrian Dain
