Ken,

in the US and Canada collect credit card billing info
directly from banks on the basis of bilateral agreements.
I am not sure whether they can release this kind of data to
individuals and how legal the whole things is from the start.
You must realize that privacy issues are just next door if not
in the same room, but unfortunatelly law cannot always keep up
with technological advances and 'big brother watching' monitoring 
techniques.  I have not had a big interest in this for several years,
but you can start searching for more ideas and names with an article
in Economic Geography, Vol 71, April 1995, No. 2 by Jon Goss:
"We Know Who You Are and We Know Where You Live...".
