Yes -I'm opening an MSAccess97 table through MI 5.5.  (WindowsNT 4.0)
Also made the field in MSAccess 6 decimal places, fixed, and double 
precision.

So are you opening a ACCESS table through MI? If so this could be a bug 
in
MI pro. Also try to reside the lon/lat field to be 6 decimals, see if it
brings the data back.

Is it possible to get 6 decimal places in a Lat - Lon Column in MapInfo?
I'll bring a bring the data over from MSAccess and it will truncate it 
to 4 decimal places.
