Dear all, Please apologize if this is the wrong list for my question, however, I thought it’s most likely that I get an answer here. Question: I would like to restrict the number of concurrently running tasks of a MapReduce job. For this, I set the property mapreduce.jobtracker.maxtasks.perjob

Hi Sebastian, The configuration to limit concurrently running tasks of a MapReduce job is the following: mapreduce.job.running.map.limit 0 The maximum number of simultaneous map tasks per job. There is no limit if this value is 0 or negative. mapreduce.job.running.reduce.limit
