Hello all, I have noticed a different behaviour in MapServer 8 in comparision to MapServer 7. In the Web-Section I use a global header and footer and I created an empty.html page. Hello, with MapServer 5.x it was possible to set the KEYSIZE 40 1 to get straight lines as legend images. Now with MapServer 6.x the line is rolling although KEYSIZE is set to KEYSIZE 40 1. Is it a feature? Or is there a way to get a straight line as legendimage. Die FOSSGIS und deutschsprachige OpenStreetMap Konferenz 2013 – die größte deutschsprachige Anwenderkonferenz für freie Geo-Informationssysteme und freie Geodaten – findet vom 12. bis 14. Juni 2013 statt. Mehr als 60 Vorträge für Einsteiger, Experten und Entwickler, Hands-On Workshops und Anwendertreffen geben einen Einblick in aktuelle Anwendungsmöglichkeiten und Neuigkeiten. Der Themenbogen spannt sich von der Datenaufbereitung in OpenStreetMap, über den Aufbau Geodateninfrastrukturen bis hin zu Technologien zur Prozessierung und Darstellung von umfangreichen Geodaten. Damit spiegelt sich auch der Trend der steigenden Durchdringung des Internets mit Karten und Geodaten wieder. Über die gleichzeitig stattfindende Firmenausstellung ist ein direkter Kontakt zu Dienstleistern, die professionelle Unterstützung bieten, möglich. Zusätzlich zum fachlich orientierten Austausch in Community-Sessions und Entwicklertreffen findet ein Social-Event statt, um den Austausch aller Beteiligten - vom Benutzer über Entwickler und Mapper bis zum Entscheider - zu intensivieren und gegenseitig von Ideen und Herausforderungen zu lernen. Die Konferenzgebühr beläuft sich für die gesamten drei Konferenztage auf 140,- EUR. Frühbucher zahlen hierbei bis 30.04.2013 nur 120,- EUR. Zudem können auch in diesem Jahr wieder zahlreiche Workshops besucht werden. Die Teilnahmegebühr für Workshops beträgt 100,- EUR (Frühbucher 90,- EUR) pro Teilnehmer und Workshop. [mapserver-users] MapServer 6.2: SIZEUNITS meters - Legend OUTLINE is too big
Hello, I am testing with 6.2 and want to define a WMS with SIZEUNITS meters. My map looks good but I get a very big outline around my polygons-Symbol in the legend. This is my Layerdefinition: LAYER NAME 'befestigte_flaechen' TYPE POLYGON METADATA WMS_TITLE 'befestigte Flaechen' .. END SIZEUNITS meters CLASS NAME 1 Fche EXPRESSION 1 STYLE WIDTH 0.1 OUTLINECOLOR 58 255 84 COLOR 250 0 0 END END ... END The Map looks good with this simple definition in the STYLE-Block. But the getLegendGraphic-Request looks bad. The OUTLINE of the polygon in the legend is much too big. When I add MINWIDTH and MAXWIDTH to the STYLE the legend looks fine. Hello, I have a MapServer 6.2 question. I run MapServer 6.2 on Windows Server 2008. I noticed a strange behaviour with the EXPRESSION definition while I am migrating my mapfiles to MapServer 6.0 This is my table: CREATE TABLE ax_bauwerkoderanlagefuerindustrieundgewerbe ( ogc_fid serial NOT NULL, gml_id character(16), -- Identifikator, global eindeutig ... bauwerksfunktion integer, wkb_geometry geometry ... ); DATA wkb_geometry from (SELECT ogc_fid, bauwerksfunktion, wkb_geometry FROM ax_bauwerkoderanlagefuerindustrieundgewerbe) as foo using unique ogc_fid USING SRID=25832 As bauwerksfunktion is an integer column my EXPRESSION definition was like this in MaServer 6.0 EXPRESSION ([bauwerksfunktion] = 1210) EXPRESSION ([bauwerksfunktion] = 1215 OR [bauwerksfunktion] = 1220 OR [bauwerksfunktion] = 1250 OR [bauwerksfunktion] = 1260) Now with MapServer 6.2 it does not work anymore: * instead of a map I get an Internal Server Error My Logfile says: [Thu Nov 29 15:03:31 2012].824000 msEvalExpression(): General error message. [mapserver-users] How can I avoid long notation of double values in label or info template for shapes?
Hello, I have a shapefile with a column of type double that contains values like 2.54 or -2.03. When I label the geometrie with this column or display this column in my infotemplate I get the following notation of the values: 2.540e+000 -2.030e+000 If there a way to tell MapServer to display the normal notation of the value? I'm pretty sure I used it for myself. But grepping through my current mapfiles say otherwise. So I can't give an working example. [mapserver-users] wms_bbox_extended true only works with 15 EPSG code definitions
Hello, I want to use the Parameter wms_bbox_extended true to calculate the extent for all the supported EPSGs. see http://mapserver.org/ogc/wms_server.html The Capabilities document looks fine as long as I only define 15 codes. The XML breaks at different points with more EPSG codes (but I need 15 for INSPIRE) Definition could look like this: WEB ... WMS_BBOX_EXTENDED 'true' WMS_SRS 'EPSG:31466 epsg:31467 epsg:31468 epsg:4326 EPSG:25832 EPSG:25833 EPSG:3034 EPSG:3035 EPSG:3038 EPSG:3039 EPSG:3040 EPSG:3041 EPSG:3042 EPSG:3043 EPSG:3044 EPSG:3045 EPSG:3046 EPSG:3047' ... END When I disable the parameter wms_bbox_extended false (or I do not define the parameter) the Capabilities XML is fine, but does not contain the bboxes. I tested with MapServer 6.0.2 and MapServer 6.2beta1. I also created a bug ticket at github https://github.com/mapserver/mapserver/issues/4395 It is not an urgent issue. Just wanted to notice it. [mapserver-users] PHP max_input_vars can effect Mapbender administration and block requests
Hello, some of you may have problems saving changes within the Mapbender administration for example when you have a WMS with many layers. I wrote a mail before about Suhosin blocking requests when the Suhosin-variables are set too restrictive [1]. The problem can also occur, when the PHP variable max_input_vars [2] is not set. You may get a log message like this: PHP Warning: Unknown: Input variables exceeded 1000. To increase the limit change max_input_vars in php.ini. The default of this variable is 1000. If you have WMS with many layer you may have to increase this variable. I added this information to the Mapbender wiki [3][4]. Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, Neuigkeiten und Hintergründe zu Technologien des Geo-Webs / GIS-Applikationen mit Freier Software und Freien Daten werden dieses Jahr auf der FOSSGIS 2012 präsentiert. Die FOSSGIS und deutschsprachige Open Street Map Konferenz 2012 – die größte deutschsprachige Anwenderkonferenz für Freie Geo-Informationssysteme und freie Geodaten – findet vom 20. bis 22. März 2012 an der Hochschule Anhalt in Dessau-Roßlau statt. Der Themenbogen spannt sich von der Datenaufbereitung in OpenStreetMap über Geodateninfrastrukturen bishin zu Technologien zur Prozessierung von umfangreichen Geodaten und spiegelt damit den Trend der steigenden Durchdringung des Internets mit Karten und Geodaten wider. In mehr als 60 Vorträgen für Einsteiger und Experten, Hands-On Workshops und Anwendertreffen erhalten die Besucher Einblick in aktuelle Anwendungsmöglichkeiten und Neuigkeiten von Softwareprojekten, die derartige Anwendungen ermöglichen. Über die gleichzeitig stattfindende Firmenausstellung ist ein direkter Kontakt zu Dienstleistern, die professionelle Unterstützung bieten, möglich. Zusätzlich zum fachlich orientieren Austausch in Community-Sessions und Entwicklertreffen findet ein Social-Event statt, um den Austausch aller Beteiligten - vom Benutzer über Entwickler und Mapper bis zum Entscheider - zu intensivieren, um gegenseitig von Ideen und Herausforderungen zu lernen. Die Konferenzgebühr beträgt für die gesamten drei Konferenztage 120,- €. Auch in diesem Jahr können wieder zahlreiche Workshops besucht werden für die eine Teilnahmegebühr von 100,- € je Teilnehmer und Workshop erhoben wird. Workshop-Teilnehmer erhalten eine Teilnahmebestätigung für die besuchten Workshops. Die Einnahmen gehen wie auch in den Jahren zuvor vollständig in die Finanzierung der Konferenz ein. Hello, we tried the parameter MAP.RESOLUTION AND MAP.DEFRESOLUTION with MapServer 6.0.1 and made the following observations. We tested with RESOLUTION=288MAP.DEFRESOLUTION=72 The size of the symbols and textes was not like we expected. They were often too small. We tested with and without the parameter SYMBOLSCALEDENOM 1.) without SYMBOLSCALEDENOM (none scaled, fix size) ok are: * lines (not scaled) are dispayed correct (ok) * outlines (not scaled) of polygones are dispayed correct (ok). * symbols (not scaled) are displayed correct (ok). * textes (not scaled) are displayed correct (ok).We tested not scaled texts without SYMBOLSCALEDENOM: It's displayed different weather MINSIZE/MAXSIZE is existing or not. 2.) with SYMBOLSCALEDENOM NOT ok: * Scaled symbols are displayed incorrect - too small. * Scaled lines are dispayed incorrect - too small. * scaled outlines of polygones are dispayed incorrect. * Scaled text are dispayed incorrect - too small. For us it would be good to get this problem solved, as at the moment we generate a copy of the mapfile for the print with symbol- and labelsize multiplyed with factor 4. It would be charming to solve the print with one mapfile. We could do testing and maybe I could look for sponsoring too. Is there someone else interested to solve this? Is there a ticket already? [mapserver-users] MapServer - how to draw a ttf-symbol along a line which follows the line
Hello list, I want to draw a ttf-symbol along a line which follows the line. With the definition I use at the moment the symbol is drawn along the line, but the angle of the symbol is always the same and does not follow the line. I use MapServer 5.6.3., problem occurs with AGG and GD rendering. Is there a parameter I missed? Any idea?
