Hello list, I want to draw a ttf-symbol along a line which follows the line. With the definition I use at the moment the symbol is drawn along the line, but the angle of the symbol is always the same and does not follow the line. I use MapServer 5.6.3., problem occurs with AGG and GD rendering.

If you are using mode=tile, then this is a known limitation on the mapserver side. There is a plan for 6.0 to add tilecache support to mapserver that would allow you to generate meta tiles and chop the tiles into a tilecache which is the way to resolve the artifacts you are seeing.
