Hi, just want to mention this and also suggest that GNOME will support this in some way. Maybe just a news posting and a link to http://www.softwarefreedomday.org/ - or maybe more. This is a bit late for larger planning but this is a yearly opportunity. And if not GNOME think about doing something in your home town.
