The Nunavik Marine Region Wildlife Board (NRMWB) is looking for a wildlife biologist to join our team in Inukjuak. The NMRWB, an institution of public government, is the main instrument of wildlife management in the Nunavik Marine Region (the coastal waters surrounding Arctic Quebec).
Responsibilities of Wildlife Biologist: As a wildlife biologist with the NMRWB you will deal with a wide array of topics including commercial fisheries, species at risk, subsistence harvesting, Inuit Traditional Knowledge, protected areas, industrial development activities, inter-jurisdictional negotiations, etc. Among others, your primary responsibilities will be to provide support to the NMRWB’s directors in matters relating to wildlife management, public outreach, logistics, and evaluation of research proposals.
