Dear colleagues: The US Fish and Wildlife Service currently has a comment period open for its proposed CITES actions at the next Conference of the Parties in 2013. They have three categories of proposals - those they will sponsor, those they are still considering, and those they have decided not to sponsor. Polar bears are in the "still considering" category.
