As the polling numbers in this article show, the Sanders wing of the Democratic Party is a clear minority. Unless they reverse that (which is unlikely), then why should Sanders be the nominee? Just because his supporters like him? As for socialists: if this situation remains, what will we have to show for it when the majority of the Democratic Party asserts itself and nominates Biden/Klobuchar/Harris or whoever?
