So, in Russia, Putin's government has unveiled a redesign of the insignia of the Russian armed forces, dropping the red star, and moving to a star containing the colors of the Russian flag (or, as some have said, those of the Pepsi logo) Couldn't have picked a better time to erase the last vestiges of the Soviet victory in WW II, and re-frame it as a "Russian struggle".
