Chris Hedges interviews Glen Ford of BAR, who puts forward arguments about "diversity" that are identical to those made by Walter Benn Michaels and Adolph Reed. It reminds me a bit of how the two also support Assad because Nicholas Kristof opposes him. "Diversity" is a byproduct of the struggle against racial exclusion. When you attack Harvard's decision to use preferential admissions for Black and Latino students, you help strengthen the momentum to keep Black and Latino workers at the low end of industrial jobs.
