Though the war was not won in Stalingrad and Kursk, it was won (or,
for the Wehrmacht, lost) in the sense of *decided* at Stalingrad and
Kursk.
Point taken. Probably more so that any *other* point. I actually think
that the Stalingrad battle was decided before hand, by the Germans
