Role of the individual in history: Individuals have roles in life big and small. The concept of the “role of the individual” defines the place of the individual within the objective, material processes going on in the world, a country, their community and identifies his or her active role in the change process. The individuals whose particular character offers what is required of a given stage or moment of history, or in a particular situation, moves the situation and history forward, influences the form it takes, and offers the context for the masses to play their part more fully in making history.
