How many tractor plows from Kentucky State Forestry are heading south?
Tennessee State Forestry? Pennsylvania State Forestry? (does PA even
have any tractor plows? - I have no idea - they dont make that
information available online) (or are all the forest fire guys out
west now - and the tractor plows are unmanned?) tractor plows might do
a great job of clearing roadways - and then clearing fire roads after
all the trees fall down in the forests

Category 4 - Hurricane Irma vs Florida - Catastrophic damage will
occur: Well-built framed homes can sustain severe damage with loss of
most of the roof structure and/or some exterior walls. Most trees will
be snapped or uprooted and power poles downed. Fallen trees and power
poles will isolate residential areas. Power outages will last weeks to
possibly months. Most of the area will be uninhabitable for weeks or
months.

I listened to the Hurricane net via the atlanta feed for 1 hour -
nothing much going on - someone playing female screaming noises for a
while - then a short chatty net of some sort - the NOAA liasion seems
to be gone now

anchor just showed that Florida is 130 miles wide and 350 miles long -
and Hurricane Irma is bigger than that - so "Irma will swallow all of
Florida" - and that just painted a picture in my mind

graphic showed 145 MPH winds when storm hits Homestead FL at 7 AM on
Sunday - will drop to 75 MPH when it gets up to Jacksonville

intense damage area maybe will be 50 miles wide - the anchor sorta did
that same calculation that I did earlier

if Irma ramps up to a Cat 5 - damage will be worse - but there is no
mention of it ramping up - but ya never know
